At the conclusion of the volunteer formation course, during the weekend of May 30- 1 June in France and in Rome, the same programme, elaborated with care and much dedication by Lorenza, sr Renata, sr Pascale and the Reveiller family, the Thouret Foundation welcomed departing volunteers, aspiring volunteers and former volunteers, to acquaint themselves better, share ideas, and discover themselves motivated by the same eagerness to encounter, to proclaim the Good News and to serve. Moments of reflection alternated with dynamics that helped self-knowledge and knowledge of the group; times of deepening were offered by sr Melania, with a biblical look at missionary work, by sr Stella Maris with a look at Jeanne Antide, by sr Pascale, sr Damiana and the Reveiller family on being missionaries.

In Périgueux the gathering concluded with a beautiful “sending off” celebration shared with the community of sisters and in which small crosses were given to those who will depart; in Rome instead we organized a pilgrimage and passing through the Holy Door in the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Intense moments marked this weekend, which touched everyone’s hearts. To St. Jeanne Antide, to St. Paul, Apostle of the Gentiles we entrust the missionary experience of these friends of ours who are leaving for N’djamena and Sintang. Let us also not forget the friends who from Malta will leave with Sr Ramona for Paraguay: their formation will end, the weekend June 21-22. We wish everyone a Happy Mission!
