Under missile attack, a Country is destroyed, its population is terrorized, numerous lives are snatched and all dreams buried!

The lives of the Lebanese are like an endless horror movie, with the population taking one blow after another in a country that is bankrupt and in the grip of an unprecedented economic crisis.

“Lebanon is facing a catastrophic humanitarian crisis”, the UN warns, ”unless a ceasefire comes into effect immediately”.

How can we hope for a truce in this tornado of violence and baleful ideology? Threats increase as the poor are plunged into misery. If the white stones of some houses can withstand the superpower of bombs, in contrast, the nerves of the population are fraying. Children, youth and adults are overwhelmed by daily terror; they are disoriented, confused, frightened, distrustful, endlessly sad… They have had enough of war and its horrors; they know that they are suffering the war of the great powers and that with their blood they are signing the tragedy of Middle Eastern history.

The Lebanese need your solidarity and brotherhood now more than ever. Their resilience is exemplary, but the yoke is so heavy that it crushes their shoulders: medicine, milk for children, drinking water, tents, blankets and rechargeable lamps are basic necessities.

The Sisters of Charity and the Thouret Foundation are standing by the population and seeking every means to be able to support the people, to “contribute to the good of the displaced.”
