It was March 4, 2013, when the non-profit Thouret Foundation, defined as the “Operational arm of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Jeanne Antida Thouret” and inspired by St. Jeanne Antida’s phrase “We have heard the voice of our neighbor who is everywhere,” began.
Since then, many have been the paths taken, the realities reached, discovered, loved and supported, many have been the collaborations woven in the search always for the common good and mission development. Lay people and sisters have alternated in the various offices of the Foundation and each has generously offered their professionalism, skills and genius: to each and every one goes our continuous thanks, esteem and living memory. Throughout this time, during the development of its works, in an effort to respond effectively to the emergency of charity in its many forms, the Thouret Foundation. It is attentive to the signs of the times and the emerging needs of contemporary men and women, developing an original style of charity marked by direct encounters with one’s neighbor on the streets of the world.
It aims to carry out activities of general interest, exclusively pursues civic, solidaristic and socially useful purposes, in the fields of charity, education, training, social, health and socio-health care in favor of the marginalized and needy in general, wherever they may be. It pursues its goals of human promotion by carrying out activities of cooperation for the development of peoples through project management, the implementation of supportive interventions, the provision of grants and humanitarian aid, aimed at the establishment and consolidation of peace among peoples.
